StateSync Recorder Media is a network of 13 independent local newsrooms publishing across 12 American states. From the desert basins of Arizona to the granite ridges of New Hampshire, from the gulf coast of Louisiana to the spruce flats of Alaska — every publication in our network is rooted in a single community and reports for that community alone.
We exist because the country still needs local news — written by people who know the streets, the town halls, the school boards, and the high school football scores. Wire copy and national feeds cannot tell you what your mayor said last night or which restaurant just opened on Main Street. Our newsrooms do.
Every site in the network is editorially independent. Each maintains its own voice, its own design, its own beat. What unites them is a shared standard: accurate, accessible, accountable local journalism, every day, free for anyone with a connection to read.
